On 24 June, the 2017 Summer Reading Program began where young readers can earn prizes for reading 5 books. The Summer Program is scheduled to run until the end of August. Storytime for younger children will be held on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 and for older children the Bananagram competition from 11:30 to 12:30.

"Reading with Maggie", Wednesday sessions have begun 11 - 12 noon during the summer.

Dinosaurs didn't read,
now they're extinct. Coincidence?

Pick up and read a couple of books this summer to keep your mind in shape.


On Saturday, 5 August, 8 am to 12 noon the Cushing Public Library will have its Summer Book Sale!

Please donate your books, audiobooks and dvd's now through Thursday 3 August, best during normal Library hours. (Normal Library Hours are Mondays 10-12; Wednesdays 10-4; Fridays 10-2; and Saturdays 10-12) All proceeds from the sale go directly to the library. - See you there!

The Library has five artworks by Bernard "Blackie" Langlais, donated by Colby College Museum of Art and the Kohler Foundation. Please visit the Library during our hours as part of The Langlais Art Trail .
